Welcome, my name is Jane Baker (Ms. Baker), and I am the Learning Center Teacher for Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and some 3rd grade students here at Holland East. I am excited to be working with your student this year!
I have taught Special Education for Holland Public Schools for eleven years. Prior to teaching for Holland Public Schools I operated a childcare business in my home for approximately 12 years. I have a degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Special Education and a Masters Degree in Learning Disabilities, through Grand Valley State University.
I have three children. Mitchell, my oldest is 26 and is married to my beautiful daughter-in-law Alexa. My middle son, Nicholas, is 24, and attended classes at Baker College and is now working as a Diesel Mechanic. My daughter, Rachel, is 19 and is attending Indiana Wesleyan University. She is pursuing a nursing degree and enrolled in the Army ROTC program I grew up and still reside in the Holland area. Our family also consists of a very spoiled Pomeranian named Shadow.
It is my desire to maintain open communication between home and school. By working together, we can help your student reach their full potential and be successful.
